CIIM San Francisco Event meets Consul General of Italy Hon. Fabrizio Marcelli - San Francisco May 27, 2008
On May 27th 2008 C.I.I.M. - San Francisco Chapter - introduced to the Bay Area Business Community the new Consul General of Italy Hon. Fabrizio Marcelli
Consul General Marcelli, arrived in San Francisco at the end of April 2008.
Born in Rome in 1961, he holds a law degree from the University of Rome and has held many posts of responsibility in the Italian Foreign Service. In 1991 was appointed Second Secretary for Trade at the Italian Embassy in Antanarivo, Madagascar. In 1995 he became Consul of Italy in Mar del Plata, Argentina. In 1999 he served as Consul in Colonia, Germany, until 2000 when he returned to Rome to serve in the Weapons Export Authorizing Unity at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Subsequently he was appointed Counselor at the Division for the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern Countries, and specifically at the Libyan Desk.In 2007 Mr. Marcelli was posted as First Counselor at the Italian Embassy in Buenos Aires.
The event took place at the Italian restaurant "Perbacco" and has seen the participation of entrepreneurs, representatives of all the Italian Government (the Scientific Attache' Prof.Terenzio Scapolla and the Commercial Attache' Dott. Vittorio Palladino) and of the business associations in the San Francisco: B.A.I.A., S.V.I.E.C., ALUB, Mind The Bridge.
